Auwau® was initially founded with the purpose of delivering easy-to-learn and easy-to-use self-service features and settlement/billing capabilities for the IBM Storage Protect* infrastructure (previously known as IBM Tivoli Storage Manager/TSM/Spectrum Protect). The pursuit of this purpose has led to our product, Cloutility®, which is a web-based software solution for organizations wanting a single point of control to provide their backup/data-protection infrastructure as a service, i.e. "Backup-as-a-Service" (BaaS) - installed on-premise, so our customers are in control of where their data is stored.
* Over time, Cloutility has grown to support several backup/data-protection infrastructures as well as multiple S3 Object Storage solutions (see below).
From the beginning, the foundation has always been the ability to reflect our customers’ own organizations and business models in a secure role-based multi-tenant (and multi-level) environment, and over the years, Cloutility has grown to provide a host of self-service features, custom reporting, automated recurring billing capabilities, managed and documented data-deletion handling and more as a single point of control, with support for multiple backup- and storage infrastructures from various vendors such as IBM, Rubrik, Cohesity and PoINT Software & Systems.
Today, Cloutility is used by managed service providers and large enterprises around the world to manage petabytes of data and serve thousands of end customers.
In everything we do, we believe in challenging the existing processes and tools by thinking differently.
We do this by deconstructing and rethinking complex tasks into simple-to-use, user-friendly workflows (without sacrificing control and manageability).
Our product is a single point of control software solution for providing storage- and backup-as-a-service which is beautifully integrated with IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Defender Data Protect, IBM Cloud Object Storage (IBM COS), Rubrik, Cohesity and PoINT Archival Gateway.
We do the majority of our work remotely, but we're based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
